Summer Reg Link Dropped!

Register HERE today to join us this August from wherever you are! The virtual world has expanded our geographic limitations – we are thrilled to connect with other curious humans across the country & around the world! Different experiences breathe new life into the tough questions we ask and the ways we approach problem solving. Debate & Model United Nations help students organize their thoughts, advocate, and speak confidently. But at their core, these activities are about fleshing out and attempting to solve the most challenging issues of today: foreign policy, global health, human rights protections, the ethics of science & technology, education, borders & trade, and more. We look forward to connecting with you!

We welcome high school and motivated middle grade students. Our experienced instructors accommodate novices and elite debaters, alike – this is the perfect opportunity to on-ramp for new students and also to review & refresh for returning Debaters/Delegates to hit the ground running in September. The week will run virtually, as follows: Debate, 11a -3p (EST); MUN, 3:30-5:30p. Please do not hesitate to reach out to jenniferhunt@thehive.academy with any questions.

Registration 2020-21 Open

Registration for the academic year skills program & team is OPEN!

Given the current health circumstances, we are pivoting from our usual in-person practices. Instead, we are moving to the Zoom platform for the fall (spring tbd).

It works! Our Summer Program was a huge success(!), and several of our debaters competed in virtual tournaments early summer (special shout out to Adele Burke for making it to out-rounds twice at the Regan Great Communicator Debate Series!). All tournaments – CDA, CTMSDL, Invitationals, and more – will continue to run online this fall.

Practices begin August 31 – meeting Mondays, 5-7p. We look forward to working with y’all this year!

Please email jenniferhunt@thehive.academy for more information or click here to register today.
